口コミでも言われている様に、観光客と分かると、人が変わっては、次から次と、このメニューは美味しいからと、注文を促してくる。これは辛くないと言われたが、ほとんど日本人には、辛すぎで値段も高目。人気店ですが、周辺のお店の方がお薦めです。ハエが料理の周りに異常発生しており、早々に出てきました。
ずっとミシュランを取ってるレストランだそうです！ かなり美味しいです！ 一皿は小さいので、いろいろ食べれますよ!
料理の味はまあまあ美味しい、しかし店員が無表情で機械のようにオススメメニューをだらだら説明してくる。これはタイ人でも外国人に対しても観光客には同じ、そして受け答えは威圧的、多分本人たちは何も思ってない。 常連らしき人たちには出て行く時もみんなでありがとう、観光客が出て行く時は誰も反応しない。 ここで食べなくても他にもこのレベルのものが食べれるもっといい店はチェンマイにたくさんあるはず。
宿が近く2回行く。北タイ料理がいろいろあるので楽しめる。
場所柄なのか大学生位の年代の客が多かった。本格北部タイ料理なのに料金はリーズナブル。難点は街の中心から離れていること。

A must-visit for authentic Northern Thai food in Chiang Mai! Everything we ordered was delicious, but today’s special menu, Spicy Minced Fish Salad (Larb Pla), was absolutely outstanding. It was perfectly seasoned, incredibly flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The restaurant has a cozy Lanna atmosphere, the ingredients are fresh, and the staff are friendly. Every dish was well-prepared and full of authentic Northern Thai flavors. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a genuine local dining experience. I’ll definitely come back!
Absolutely obsessed with this Northern Thai feast at “Haan Thueng Chiang Mai” 🤍 Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors rich, spicy, comforting, and beautifully homemade. From the crispy fried chicken wings, to the flavorful Northern-style soup and stir-fried mushrooms, everything tasted incredibly fresh and full of soul. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, the rice was soft and fragrant, and every bite felt like a warm welcome from Chiang Mai itself. This is the kind of place that makes you stop talking for a second just to appreciate how good the food is. ✨ Authentic Northern Thai food, cozy atmosphere, generous portions, and flavors that truly hit the heart. If you’re in Chiang Mai and want real local food — “Haan Thueng Chiang Mai” is a MUST. 10/10 would come back again and again. 🍚🌶️💛
We had a really great experience here. The Northern Thai food was delicious and full of authentic flavour. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I brought my parents here and they loved it as well. We will definitely come back again next time!

A wonderful introduction to Northern Thai cuisine. We ordered the khantoke, and it was excellent—beautifully presented and full of deep, comforting Lanna flavours. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, from the curries to the accompaniments, and everything paired perfectly with the sticky rice. I was curious about the famous ant dish, but honestly, I couldn’t really taste the ants themselves—nothing overpowering or strange at all. What stood out instead was how balanced and approachable the flavours were, even for someone trying this cuisine with fresh eyes. Add to that the warm atmosphere, local character, and the restaurant’s consistent Michelin recognition, and it’s easy to see why this place is so well regarded. A must-visit if you want an authentic khantoke experience in Chiang Mai.
