Mr. KAI Restaurant

Mr. KAI Restaurant is a very safe and satisfying choice, especially for first-time visitors to Thailand who want to try local cuisine in a more approachable manner. The food gives you a good taste of Thai flavours without being too overwhelming or on the strongest side. You still get the familiar balance of herbs, spice, sweetness, sourness, and savoury notes, but in a way that feels easy to enjoy even if you are not used to bolder local flavours. Overall, the meal was satisfying. It may not be the most intense or adventurous Thai food experience, but that is also what makes it a reliable option for many travellers. The dishes are generally approachable, comfortable, and suitable for casual dining. A good place to consider if you want a fuss-free introduction to Thai food, especially when travelling with friends or family who prefer something less challenging but still flavourful.

The best food and juices we had in Chiang Mai 🙌🏻 portion sizes are huge, service is prompt and friendly and prices are really good considering the location! The owner is very nice and he personally came to thank us for coming to the restaurant four times during our stay 😊 I recommend especially the khao soi and the mix fruit juice, so good!

Absolutely delicious food, wonderful service by the happiest people we’ve met in Thailand. Great prices too - would highly recommend!! We especially loved that the water bottle had Mr Kai printed on the bottle!!

Very nice place. Amazing soup Khao Soi. Signature dish at this restaurant definitely a “must try” position. We tried spring rolls and fried rice with shrimps also tasty positions in the menu. Definitely recommend to step in.

Very tasty food and affordable prices. The Khao Soi was excellent, we had the chicken version and really loved it. We also tried the fresh fruits, which were delicious. Highly recommended!
