The service was top tier, I think it took them less than 5 minutes after we placed our order. This was our first meal when we arrived in Chiang Mai, good authentic thai and value for money. Crispy pork is crispy, maybe to savor the flavor with bigger slices. But the dipping sauce is good, I’m not sure if its hoisin but it added a lot to the taste. The khao soi was a good sized serving with a large part of chicken leg. Subtle flavor, but we felt it was suited already to the western tongue. It’s proximity and the fact that it’s open late is also a plus since majority of the restaurant close early.

I visited Aroy Dee by the riverside while staying in Chiang Mai, and it quickly became one of my favorite meals there. “Aroy” means “delicious” in Thai, and the restaurant truly lives up to its name. Every dish I tried was incredibly flavorful, but the highlight was definitely the khao soi. This iconic Northern Thai curry noodle dish is a must-eat when you’re in Chiang Mai, and the one here was rich, slightly creamy, and perfectly balanced with spices. The riverside setting also made the experience even more relaxing. On top of that, the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality. If you’re visiting Chiang Mai, this is definitely one of those places you’ll want to come back to again.

I was lured in from the sidewalk by the hypnotizing cooking performance and alluring aroma. I ordered the drunken yellow noodles in tofu and they were awesome! Lots of fire smoky taste in each bite. The veggies were cooked to perfection and there lots of exciting herbs thrown in for good measure. The menu offers a vegetarian option for most if not all dishes. It’s not too pricey and a fun experience. Lively and rowdy vibe inside. Only thing is you have to pay at the end in the bs k which takes a while. Heck it out!

Great restaurant. It gets very busy here! Food is pretty cheap but the thing that drew us to this place was the 80 THB large Chang! The food comes quickly and was tasty. We came here twice because we liked it so much. I’d definitely recommend it.

My friend and I enjoyed the mango sticky rice, shrimp with broccoli, passionfruit smoothie and green noodles! Service was incredibly friendly, price was affordable, and the man we cashed out with was so kind and welcoming! Would recommend.
