Incredible Sukiyaki—Japanese-level beef and flawless service! This place is an absolute gem! The quality of the beef is exceptional and easily rivals what you would get in Japan. The staff here are incredibly professional, grilling all the meat for us to perfection so we could just sit back and enjoy. On top of that, the dining environment is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and amazing service! We came after a long day of shopping and walking and left very content! I ordered the A5 lean sukiyaki and it was so good. The Staff takes extreme care when cooking your sukiyaki tableside and everything was perfect. The meat was high quality. Also honorable mention to the beef tendon soup, curry, mushroom tempura, and unagi. I would highly recommend Shishitei!

Shishitei Chiang Mai delivered one of the most satisfying shabu shabu experiences I’ve had in Thailand. From the moment the beautifully marbled beef arrived at the table, it was clear this place takes quality seriously. The meat was sliced perfectly thin, with generous marbling that melted almost instantly once swished through the hot broth. Each bite was tender, rich, and clean, without any heaviness. The vegetable platter was equally impressive—fresh napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, shiitake carved with delicate patterns, and crisp greens that added both texture and balance to the meal. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the simple presentation let the ingredients speak for themselves. The broth was light yet deeply comforting, enhancing the natural sweetness of the beef and vegetables rather than overpowering them. What really stood out was the overall sense of care: the pacing of the meal, the calm atmosphere, and the attention to detail in how everything was prepared and served. It felt refined but still warm and approachable, perfect for a relaxed, unhurried dinner. If you’re in Chiang Mai and craving high-quality Japanese hot pot, Shishitei is absolutely worth a visit. It’s the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after the last slice of beef disappears into the pot.

Had extremely authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu right here in Chiang Mai! The meat quality is top-notch and literally melts in your mouth—truly delicious. The Japanese-style decor is beautiful and sets a great vibe. Best of all, the staff are super friendly and very proactive in offering help and service. 10/10 highly recommend!

A more refined Japanese restaurant in Chiangmai focused on Wagyu sukiyaki or shabu shabu .... but their seafood flown in fresh from Japan is nothing to sniff at either. Their oysters are large and substantial. In typical Japanese fashion, excelling in high standards of simplicity and quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner set!
