HAGOW Yaowarat

If you are visiting Yaowarat (Chinatown) and looking for exceptional dim sum in a comfortable, air-conditioned setting, Hagow Yaowarat is an absolute must-visit! Every dim sum basket is steamed fresh and served piping hot. The signature Hagow (shrimp dumplings) features a perfectly thin, delicate wrapper filled with plump, juicy, and snappy shrimp. But the real showstopper that you absolutely cannot miss is their Shrimp Paste Noodles (บะหมี่มันกุ้ง). The noodles have an incredibly springy texture, perfectly tossed in a rich, savory, and aromatic shrimp fat sauce that coats every single strand. It is packed with deep umami flavor and is incredibly satisfying. The restaurant itself has a beautiful, modern Chinese design. It is clean, cozy, and provides a perfect, cool escape from the bustling heat of Chinatown. The staff are polite, attentive, and serve the food surprisingly fast even when it is busy. With high-quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and very reasonable prices, this restaurant has easily become one of my favorite spots in the area. Highly recommended!

We visited Hagow Yaowarat while exploring the Chinatown district of Bangkok and had a great experience. This place was very busy and understandably so. We waited about thirty minutes to be seated, but once inside it felt worth it. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was really cool, lively, and added to the overall experience. Our party of six ordered a variety of dumpling dishes and everything we tried was enjoyable. The food was flavorful and came out at a good pace despite how packed the restaurant was. Overall, everyone in our group was very happy with the meal. If you are exploring Chinatown and enjoy dim sum, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The prices were also very affordable, which made the experience even better.

I had the signature braised pork belly rice bowl, and it was SO delicious. I don’t usually have pork, but this was so tender and melts in your mouth. It was served with a chilli sauce, and it was a great combination. Would 10/10 recommend :) Reasonably priced as well, at 149 baht. Level 2 has Air-Con so it is quite cooling to sit there while having dinner.

Hagow Yaowarat in Bangkok’s Chinatown is a must for authentic Chinese dim sum! The 3-flavor Hagow and BBQ pork buns were juicy, delicious and full of flavor. Great friendly staff. It’s even better if you go with friends to share and try different dishes! Highly recommend!

Great Find Bangkoks Chinatown is busy and bustling and can be a little overwhelming when looking for dining options. Hagow was perfect. Such great value for money. Excellent food. Friendly service.
