A short walk from Phrom Phong BTS in Sukhumvit Soi 26, Rung Rueang Pork Noodles has held Michelin recognition for years and after finally trying it, the hype made complete sense. The dry tom yum egg noodles, tom yum noodle soup and crispy fish skin were all excellent. Smart menu design with pictures makes ordering easy even for visitors. Best strategy is to order the smallest bowls but try different noodle types and styles. Even the drinks — especially the orange and sour plum — hit the spot. Proper comforting Thai pork noodles done very, very well. We left full and smiling.

Stopped by Rung Rueang during my Bangkok trip. Ordered the dry tom yum bami mix (medium, 70 THB) — loaded with minced pork, fish balls, bean sprouts, and green onions. Looks great, and the toppings are solid. That said, a few honest notes: going dry means almost no sauce, so the overall flavor ends up milder than expected. There’s a decent kick of spice, but without the broth to carry it, the seasoning feels a bit flat. Also, the portion size for a “medium” is surprisingly small — I’d guess less than 50g of noodles. Locals might be used to it, but if you’re hungry, order large or grab a side. Still a fun experience for a Michelin Bib Gourmand spot, and the price is hard to argue with. Just go in with realistic expectations.

If you are standing on Sukhumvit Soi 26 in Bangkok looking at Rung Rueang (荣泰) pork noodles, you will notice two shops sitting right next to each other. Both are "actual" and authentic. Originally, it was a single family-run business. After the original owner passed away, the business was split between the sons. Because of this family divide, they operate as two separate entities right next door to each other, but they use the exact same name and serve nearly identical menus. I’ve tried both shops (albeit one year apart). Seems like the taste is the same.

Great noodles! Love the tom yum soup, spicy, sour, very strong. Staff recommended me the noodle type and I am glad I went with it. Not the most mindblowing meal in Bangkok but definitely an amazing one! Definitely would say earned its Michelin stars. The place is simple, spacious, and may fill up on peak hours. VERY AFFORDABLE! WOULD RETURN!!!

Rung Rueang Pork Noodles is one of those places that I make sure to visit whenever I'm in Bangkok. Conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station, it's easy to reach and well worth the trip. The restaurant has earned Michelin Guide recognition every year since 2018, and after trying it, it's easy to understand why. The menu is straightforward, with only two serving sizes available — small and medium. Despite the modest portions, the prices are very reasonable, making it easy to order an extra bowl if you're feeling hungry. The noodles are delicious, with a rich and flavorful broth complemented by well-prepared pork and meatballs. Everything comes together nicely for a satisfying and comforting meal. While the restaurant itself is simple and no-frills, the quality of the food is what keeps people coming back. If you're looking for authentic pork noodles in Bangkok, Rung Rueang Pork Noodles is definitely worth a visit. It's a reliable favorite and remains one of my go-to dining spots every time I'm in the city.
