Stumbled upon this place after reading high reviews and it was as good as everyone said. The fish maw super was the smoothest fish maw we’ve ever had. The broth was clear but very flavourful. The stirfry shrimp noodles had so much depth to its flavours and tasted very different. It was amazing! We saw every table get the Peking duck but felt like it was too much food for just two people. The duck did look beautiful though and it cut it up table-side for you.
Had a wonderful afternoon time after exploring around Chinatown neighborhood. There are several options for their dim sum. What I love the most are their Shrimp hakaow for a perfect bite and the Steamed Crab Claws topped with aromatic golden egg curry sauce. The fish maw soup with crab meat is so yummy and the unique way they served the soup in the traditional stone bowl keep the gravy-like broth bubbling hot. You got the flavorful of Chinese herb and soy sauce taste in the warm broth.
Great spot for Chinese food, especially if you’re in the mood for dim sum. They have a dedicated dim sum menu, and that’s all we ordered, everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The standout was definitely the soup dumplings, which had a unique lemongrass twist and were absolutely delicious. There’s also a wide selection of drinks, plus a separate menu featuring dishes like duck, noodles, rice, and seafood if you’re after something more substantial. It’s a perfect choice for a relaxed lunch: cool, comfortable, and serving high-quality food. Highly recommended.
The Peking Duck is one of the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s meticulously carved table side and the fat shaved off the back side of the skin. It’s accompanied by a steamer basket of pancakes and green onions and cucumbers. We chose the duck in lettuce cups as our second course which is also a winner. Food was amazing! Service was very attentive. I can’t wait to go back!!
Our Thai friends hosted the welcome lunch for us, and ordered some 13 food/dim-sum items (with some repeats), including the signature Beijing roasted-duck and a popular dessert (glutinous rice-balls with black-sesame fillings, in sweet ginger-soup). All for a group of 5 diners, apparently quite a generosity overload! Luckily, "take-aways" were permitted. The food was highly enjoyable and memorable for all of us. Staff provided quiet and attentive service to all tables (place was not packed during visit, a mix of locals and tourists present). We also fully enjoyed the fun philosophical musings of "Ah Ma" (displayed prominently on the walls, nooks and corners, on premises).
