I’ve been here many times for coffee and takeaway pastries. Unfortunately, almost every staff member I’ve encountered seems like they’d rather be anywhere else. While that might be somewhat understandable for a small café across the street, it’s a bit concerning for a hotel that serves visitors from all over the world. This morning (Saturday), the staff member had no facial expression, and when I asked a simple question—like where to find a spoon—she seemed bothered, like I was giving her a hard time, and just pointed toward the side counter. That said, the food is exceptional and the coffee is excellent. They just need to work on the customer service.
Casual cafe at the lobby of Le Meriden Taipei, atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Few tables for dine in and mostly for take aways. Coffee is from cupping room and pastries are excellent

The plain salt bread was a bit dry and was less fluffy from other salt bread I’ve tried. The miso scallion bun was okay though. Generous portion of scallions but the bun was a bit dry like the salt bread.
