Galerie Shina Omakase in Taipei delivered an outstanding lunch. With only 12 seats at the counter, the experience was intimate and highly personalized. Each course was beautifully crafted with exceptional technique and seasonal ingredients. Flavors were clean, balanced, and thoughtfully sequenced. Service was attentive and professional. Truly a memorable omakase experience.
Just had their Winter Tasting menu for lunch at NT$2,500 plus 10% service charge. Every dish was well designed and executed. For example, the red bean soup was not the classic Japanese zenzai but a mash up of the chinese 红豆汤 and 芝麻酱。We had a lovely sake to go with this sumptious lunch. Will not hesitate to recommend friends to dine here. Happy to note the restaurant offers an a la carte menu besides their course menu. The counter seats around 10 pax and the private room is of similar capacity. The 3 of us were able to have the private room to ourselves today.
Located in a white building in an alley. The meal was 2,500 NT + 10% service fee. Fish is very fresh and quality is worth the price. Each 16 course had delicious pairings. My favorite was the uni with abalone. The seasonal spring set was called ‘The Enchanted Journey of The Sock Bunny’. The painting art around the restaurant were of sock bunnies to fit the theme. Bar seats up to ~9 people. Clean and service was great. Highly recommend, I’m surprised this restaurant doesn’t have more reviews!
Thanks to my dear friends in Taipei for inviting me to dine at such a great restaurant, it was a perfect experience, every meal was really delicious, it reminded me of my feeling in a trendy restaurant in Tokyo, minimalist style decoration with beautiful Taiwanese contemporary art works. I like the purple sea urchin from Hokkaido the most and the white eel from Yunlin County, Taiwan. Those are really impressive and so delicious. Thank you so much 💗, we will be there soon, again🧡
We dined there on a Saturday evening to commemorate a reunion with my closest friend. It was impressive to observe how Omekase integrated artwork into the dining experience, allowing for the simultaneous appreciation of exquisite cuisine and rotating art pieces. The menu's portions were substantial enough to satisfy a large appetite. The abalone sushi topped with uni was exceptional 🔥, and the theatrically presented otoro sushi with gold powder spray was both delicious and engaging. This place ws lively and vibrant, and the sushi chef demonstrated enthusiasm and a welcoming demeanor!
