Chef Nomura is just an incredibly talented, dedicated chef. Also the perfect gentleman. All the ingredients are from Japan via his deep relationship with producers, even the water! This perfects his authentic delicious sushi and experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Visited Nomura Sushi last month when we were in Taipei. We left feeling very happy, as the sushi was top notch and the overall experience was excellent. We love edomae sushi and have tried some of the best in Japan and Europe. This establishment certainly lives up to its one Michelin star, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends. The sushi was very well executed, the neta was delicious, and the two types of shari were excellent. The highlight of the meal was the kohada. It was close to perfection. Nomura san also speaks very good Mandarin and is very friendly. Arigato gozaimasu.

If this rating seems harsh it is. I’ll summarize this restaurant in three words: not worth it. Ive been to Michelin restaurants and fine dining establishments all around the world. For Nomuras price point they really missed the mark. Their dinner menu should probably be priced at 3000 - 4000. We ended up paying 25,000 for two people with drinks. That would have been totally fine if the meal was better.

Food is great, and the chef is good in his ingredients preparation. Didn’t get to seat on the counter so didn’t get much interaction on this meal with the chef, only got the servicing staff rushly explaining on the dishes. All i can say is food is good. Renovation has the usual Jap omakasen vibe.

So good! Deserving of its Michelin. Lunch options are $4k, $6k, $7k, we opted for $6k. Each dish looked simple but we found them very artistic, visually appealing, good temperatures, great textures, different kinds of flavors in one bite. They have private room for 2-6ppl. Owner / head chef is friendly and professional, a Japanese sushi chef who can speak Mandarin and English. It was our first time there but we'll def go again and prob one of our top omakase places in Taipei!
