Simple Kaffa

We made reservations for 530pm. Queue at ground floor had non-reservation guests blocking, trying to make last minute booking there this delayed us a little. The guest officer should move these people away in a separate queue. The view for our table next to the window is stunning. You can see from my pics and videos. The coffee is such an enjoyment! The desserts I took pics with are definitely must try!! The views are not only stunning but an enjoyment on its own. We stayed till 7pm. Tho was a rainy day, the lighted up city view is a good end to the evening enjoyment. Service staff were attentive and pleasant. Overall, this is highly recommended to try if you have time in Taipei!

First visit to this Simple Kaffa cafe located on Level 88 at Taipei 101 and it turned out to be a pleasant experience. Initially, I was feeling a bit lazy to queue, but since it was a weekday afternoon, the line was surprisingly short. I waited for less than half an hour and managed to get a table without much hassle. We ordered some coffees and cakes, and the prices were quite acceptable considering the premium location and amazing atmosphere. The coffee tasted good, and the cakes were nicely presented as well. The highlight was definitely the stunning view from the top, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it is a nice place to relax, take a short break, and enjoy the city scenery. Would consider visiting again in the future.

This Cafe is located on the 88th floor of Taipei 101. It was cloudy at the time, so the view of the surrounding areas was limited. The cafe's interior is beautiful. There was no wait for a seat at 10 am when we were there. I would recommend the Sweet Potato Buddies dessert and Tiramisu. They are so good!! There is a minimum food spend of $300 NT per person for the table furthest from the window. I am not sure what the minimum would be for a window seat. You can find out at the reception desk in the lobby when checking in. The staff members were very nice and helpful. This place is a must-do if you visit the Taipei 101.

A visit to Simple Kaffa Sola is a truly unique coffee experience in Taipei. Located inside Taipei 101, this café is known as the tallest coffee shop in Taipei, which already makes it worth visiting before you even take your first sip. The coffee itself lives up to the reputation. Simple Kaffa is famous for its award-winning specialty coffee, and you can tell there’s serious attention to detail in the beans, brewing, and presentation. The menu offers some fantastic coffee options, and it’s a great place for anyone who really appreciates well-crafted coffee. Just know going in that you’re paying premium prices, but that’s part of the experience when you’re drinking coffee at one of Taiwan’s most recognized specialty coffee brands—especially with a view like this. It’s busy most times of the day, which isn’t surprising given the location and reputation. Even with the crowds, the experience is absolutely worth it. If you’re visiting Taipei and love specialty coffee with a view, this is one of the most memorable coffee stops in the city.

I set a reminder just to snag a reservation, since table bookings only open 7 days in advance. I wanted somewhere special and new to bring my partner, and a coffee place on the 88th floor of Taipei 101 definitely fit the brief. We went for a window seat, which comes with a NT$2,000 minimum spend per table—not the easiest target for just two people, but we made it work. What we ordered: • Washed Geisha, iced – NT$600 • Brown Sugar Latte, hot – NT$250 • Caprese Salad – NT$420 • Fennel Leaf & Cream Cheese Salad – NT$370 • Matcha Roll – NT$220 • Tiramisu – NT$300 My partner loved her drip coffee and took her time slowly enjoying it. I really liked my brown sugar latte as well. I’d seen mixed reviews about the food, but personally, we loved everything that was served. I’m usually not a salad person, so I don’t quite have the words to do them justice, but both salads were genuinely good and we finished every bit. I don’t enjoy matcha as a flavour, yet the matcha Swiss roll was soft and very enjoyable; my partner said the matcha itself was really good. The tiramisu was the star dessert—rich, smooth, and so good that even someone who doesn’t usually eat much dessert was quietly working through it. The thick dusting of cocoa on top was a little too bitter for me, but aside from that personal preference, it just melted in our mouths. It’s one of those “live in the moment” desserts where you can’t even think of another tiramisu that tops it while you’re eating it. Even though it was a wet, low-visibility day and we couldn’t fully enjoy the view, the NT$2,000 minimum spend for the window seat still felt completely worth it. We loved the drinks, the food, and the whole experience, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again on our next trip—hopefully with better weather and a clearer view.
