Dishes are mostly consistent in their taste and favour from the various times I have been here. Tom kha gai (chicken meat with coconut milk) is the best anywhere I have eaten thai food. Tamarind sauce shrimp and fried soft shell crab is another must try. Clams with basil leaves is my new discovery today. Landscaping has improved over the years with a number of spots setup for photo-taking. Noticed kitchen is helmed by a group of Thai lady chefs and kitchen assistants. Kudos to them. Space is big enough for large groups and can catch a view of monsoon trees with sea and small mountain as the backdrop. Coming for lunch in the afternoon would be a bit hot but if come at night for dinner wouldn't be able to catch the view. Locals like to patronise too, this reflects the standard of cooking they have been able to maintain. Our meal here always ends with a plate of complimentary fruit water melon and pineapple. One of my favourite place to come for comfort food whenever I am in Phuket.

Bang Pae Seafood Restaurant has a relaxed, rustic feel right by the water, which makes the whole meal more enjoyable. I liked that the seafood seemed very fresh and the Thai dishes felt authentic rather than overdone. It’s the kind of place I’d go back to when I want a simple, satisfying meal in a nice outdoor setting.

I ordered the turmeric fried sand fish and the fried squid in black sauce - both were amazing. The view, however, is absolutely incredible. The best time to visit is around 5-6 PM. I’ve never enjoyed al fresco dining as much as I do at Bang Pae 🫶🏼☺️

Bang Pae Seafood Restaurant is a great spot if you’re looking for peace and an authentic Thai atmosphere. The restaurant is secluded, with beautiful waterfront views and a feeling of being far from the tourist crowds. The seafood is fresh, the flavors are honest and well balanced — no unnecessary show, just well-cooked Thai cuisine. A perfect place for a calm lunch or dinner.

We did takeout here last night and didn’t get to properly thank them or tell them how great this food was - but it was spectacular. While we were ordering and waiting the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the restaurant is in a beautiful location, so it seems like it would be a great dine-in experience too. But no matter where you eat it, the food is wonderful - incredible ingredient quality and flavor. The prices are extremely reasonable given the types of seafood on offer, and they offered us a slice of coconut pie that was one of the better desserts I’ve tried. Thank you Bang Pae!
