Stopped by for drinks and a soft cookie at Woo Phuket Healthy Restaurant. The setting is really lovely—right by the lake, calm and relaxing, perfect for a chill break. Prices are a bit on the higher side for me. They promote everything as organic, though I can’t fully comment on that since I didn’t try their main dishes. One downside was the lack of sugar-free or dairy-free dessert options. That said, I did try their chocolate brookie and it was genuinely good—soft, rich, and satisfying. Overall, a nice spot for the vibe and healthy concept, just wish there were more inclusive dessert options.
A restaurant with a view this good has every excuse to stop trying, and most do. Set the tables by the water, point the chairs at the palms, and let the lake and the breeze carry the morning while the kitchen phones it in. Woo, to its credit, didn't take the easy way out. The setting is the postcard. The kitchen treats it as a starting line, not an alibi. The smart order is the Woolington, the kitchen's salmon answer to beef Wellington and the dish that gives away the level of ambition here. The pastry comes lacquered and blistered, scored in a tight overlapping pattern, the kind of lamination that takes either real technique or real nerve. Cutting in is the whole point: the shell shatters the way puff pastry is meant to and almost never does in the tropics, where humidity turns most of it to chew. Swapping salmon for beef sounds like a gimmick and reads as one on the menu, but it earns the trade. Lighter, cleaner, less of a commitment at midday, and it lets the fish rather than the pastry carry the plate. A small tangle of microgreens, cucumber ribbons and tomatoes sits alongside with the dressing served on the side, which is the correct place for it. The yellow bowl is the other side of the same kitchen, the clean organic register stated plainly. Thick yogurt under a fan of banana, mango and pineapple, the fruit ripe rather than decorative, and a granola that earns its keep: almonds, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, clusters with actual texture, a restrained thread of honey holding it together. It's the rare healthy bowl that doesn't taste like a concession. You'd order it because you want it, not because you're atoning for something. The mango, coconut and pineapple smoothie arrives in a mason jar with an orchid on top, the one moment the place lets itself be cute. Forgivable, because it's thick, cold, and tastes like the fruit it names rather than the syrup most kitchens reach for. Tropical without the sugar headache. What makes Woo work is the refusal to coast. The lake, the lawn, the palms, the whole soft tropical hush would have filled the tables on their own. The kitchen decided that wasn't the point. Organic here doesn't mean austere, and the view doesn't double as an excuse. It's a beautiful place that also happens to cook like it means it, which on this island is rarer than the postcard suggests.
Actually I think the food were decent but I think it’s a bit pricy. But the biggest downside is that they did not provide indoor room and when someone smoke you still can smell it,,, not good for non-smoker at all
It was so so good! Everybody’s was super kind and friendly. It was very beautiful. But the food. Really really good! Especially the beetroot salad, tuna, shrimps, tzatziki and cheesecake were amazing!!
Great food, plenty healthy options. Staff speaks English and area is beautiful. they have protein shakes too ( s bit too sweet for my taste)
