Had such a lovely experience at Local Canteen. The menu has a great variety, everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous. Staff were welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The space itself feels relaxed and easy to hang out in. Will definitely be back!

Wow wow wow. Came here for dinner with my partner. Super beautiful ambience in the place with service to match! The food was incredible. Special shoutout to the coconut pancake with curried shrimp on top. One of the best bites I’ve ever eaten! Everything else was standout. High quality, simple & fresh, traditionally made & lovingly prepared. Thank you 💛

I’ve been to Local Canteen many times and recently came back again for their cocktail launch event. It’s a real local gem in the heart of Phuket Town. The restaurant sits in a charming neighborhood surrounded by old buildings, which makes the whole experience even better. Food? Absolutely delicious. Vibe? Amazing. Great decoration, good crowd, and a surprisingly good sound system that really adds to the atmosphere. Staff? Super friendly and welcoming. Always happy to come back. A place that feels relaxed, lively, and genuinely local while serving seriously good food. Highly recommended.

Local Canteen is high on good vibes and delivers with tasty contemporary takes on Thai classics. Absolutely loved the interiors and menu. We need to come back to try the curries and more substantial wok and grilled dishes. This time we had 4 smaller dishes and 3 desserts! The Pla Chae Nam Pla (sashimi) was divine! Just a warning - it's spicy. The Kuay Tiew Lord was crunchy and cloaked in slick egg noodle sheets. We loved the Kai Tod Hat Yai (fried chicken), with its beautiful dipping sauce that reminded me of szechuan chicken with black vinegar. If you're spending the afternoon in Old Phuket at the markets, make a booking to eat dinner at Local Canteen for the perfect finish to the day.
