Absolutely wonderful place! The restaurant is run by a very kind Frenchman and his Thai wife – from the very first moment you can feel the warmth, hospitality, and passion. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared, and you can truly taste the high quality of the ingredients. The wine is excellent and perfectly selected. We also had the pleasure of talking with both owners, who are incredibly caring and friendly, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. The beautiful music creates a fantastic atmosphere, and the view over the water completes the experience. At the end, we were treated to a delicious mango sticky rice dessert on the house – such a lovely gesture that truly shows how much they care about their guests. It was an amazing experience. This place deserves 6 stars. Highly recommended!
What a wonderful Restaurant !!! We had an amazing dinner with the most beautiful lake view, and honestly, I’ve had some of the best Thai cuisine ever here. The Tom Yum soup is exceptional, and the scallops and vegetable curry and everything else were fantastic as well. With each bite, you can taste and feel the passion and love the chef dedicates to every plate. Great job. Thank you! 🙏
Accidentally stumbled upon this beautiful lakeside restaurant after our marathon event, and what a wonderful find it turned out to be! Chef Jean-Claude and wife Chef Nui were lovely hosts, and their hospitality was truly top notch. The restaurant offers magnificent views of the lake. We were lucky to get a front-row seat to nature as White-bellied Sea Eagles and Brahminy Kites soared overhead and occasionally dived for fish. What a serene sight to behold! For lunch, we had the Massaman pork curry and green chicken curry with rice, followed by coconut ice cream with mango sticky rice for dessert. Every dish was delicious, and we happily cleared our plates. Good food, warm hospitality and a serene setting - we couldn't have asked for a better post-marathon meal. Highly recommended!
After exploring Phuket, we decided to spend our last day climbing at Rebel Rock. Coincidentally there was a restaurant next door that we decided to try out for lunch on a whim. Many influencers/social media people overuse the term “hidden gem” but in this case, Eldivino is definitely one. Food: Well priced given the quality, taste and presentation of the food. There is also a great selection of wine (a lot of wine) and drinks that we would like to try next time. We had the mango smoothie and pineapple smoothie which were refreshing with no added sugars. The appetiser plate and mango sticky rice were solid hits. The standout was definitely the grilled seabass, the mixture of spices worked well. In addition, the other dish (did not know the name) was a meat stir fry enveloped in a tapioca flour (?) mix - it was good, i’d order again. Atmosphere: Eldivino overlooks a waterbed which is a pleasant view, it is quite surreal. It is also relaxing as it is not on a main road so you don’t always hear the honking or a 125cc scooter ripping it down the street. To the right is a climbing gym and to your left is a flyboard centre, so your children can easily be occupied if you want a lunch with the adults. Also a temple, pilates studio and BJJ gym down the road. Service: You don’t think it could get any better but it can. Monsieur Jean Claude is the very embodiment of hospitality and passion, felt like I was visiting an old friend. His lovely wife is also an amazing chef and an even more amazing person to converse with. They’re a lovely duo that knows their art and the team they have is very respectful. If you want to experience wines, Jean Claude is the man. Overall: I don’t think I’ve written a review this extensive but it just shows how good of an experience that Eldivino is. I’ll definitely be visiting again. TLDR: It’s a good restaurant and worth a visit everytime you got Phuket. High quality, no need to be scared of food poisoning. Monsieur Jean Claude is one of the boys. Don’t mind the photos, cracked my camera falling off an ATV.
Be there at sunset - you see the sun reflection on the lake surface, where El Divino is located. Opposite there is one of the most well known monasteries of Phuket to visit. Some places serve great food but here it is really extraordinary. From the very first moment, you feel the genuine passion that the owners put into every detail. Jean Claude, a french Somelier who has worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants, and his wonderful Thai wife, whose extraordinary culinary talent is simply impossible to describe, have created something you really should discover! Her creativity, attention to detail, and incredible ability to transform the finest ingredients into unforgettable flavors make every course a little masterpiece. With his knowledge of wine and their heartfelt hospitality, every meal feels deeply personal. You arrive as a guest, but somehow you leave feeling like an old friend and you will come back again - my wife and I did it and will do it!
