Thai Mueang Restaurant Phuket

Was around the area and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant . It is located within a compound with others and has ample parking . The restaurants the old feel deco to it . We were early for dinner . The fried malinjo leaves with eggs was one of the best we have taken . The tamarind prawns was delicious and the sprinkling of cashews was really nice. The crab steamed otak was excellent . You could taste the fresh crabs on top ! . We also ordered the fried fish with garlic and tumeric. Is this was an interesting dish the fish was crispy and the combination of deep fried garlic and tumeric was excellent . We ordered a local dessert to end the meal . They have home made ice cream but we decided to leave it to the next trip to try them. Price of this restaurant is reasonable too so would highly recommend.

I recently visited Thai Mueang Restaurant and was genuinely impressed. The food was excellent – you can immediately tell that everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced, exactly what you would expect from real Thai cuisine. The atmosphere was just as enjoyable: relaxed, welcoming, and pleasantly local without feeling touristy. It felt more like discovering a hidden gem among locals rather than dining at a typical restaurant. I’d especially like to highlight the quality of the ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality, which really elevated each dish. Overall, a wonderful experience , definitely a place I would gladly visit again and highly recommend.

The is my first time in this restaurant and what a gem! The crab meat with chilli and lime is a MUST ! Their malindjo leaves with egg is the best I’ve ever had. I would rate this restaurant better than another popular Michelin Star restaurant most tourists go to.

We ordered the Phuket braised pork belly, emperors roast duck and chicken fried rice and steamed rice. The streamed rice sopped up the delicious braised pork belly Anna it's gravy. The chicken fried rice was tasty with chunks of chicken. The Emperor's roast duck was very good with its gravy but the soya sauce mix that was provided with it detracted from the duck. Service was good and the food was delivered fairly quickly and plates removed. Good pricing, great value, great taste. We were hungry and it was good, so the pictures aren't representative of the presentation. Dessert craft jelly and homemade spiced mango ice cream. It's air-conditioned and bright atmosphere.

Lovely Thai-style restaurant in Phuket with a cozy decor and great atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from, especially Southern-style favorites. The food is delicious and full of flavor although a few dishes lean slightly on the sweeter side. Overall, it’s still a great dining experience. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Southern Thai cuisine in Phuket.
