Based on the additional photos, here’s a more polished and detailed review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Little Edo Phuket is one of the best Japanese restaurants we’ve visited in Phuket. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a beautiful modern Japanese interior with warm wooden décor that creates a relaxing and authentic atmosphere. They even have traditional Japanese yukatas available if you’d like to take photos, which is a lovely touch. We started with complimentary edamame, and there was also a convenient self-service condiment station with fresh lime, sauces, and seasonings so you can customize your meal to your liking. We ordered the Wagyu Shabu Set, Edo Unagi Roll, Soft Shell Crab Roll, Ebiko Roll, and Garlic Fried Rice. The Wagyu Shabu Set was excellent. The Australian wagyu was beautifully marbled, tender, and paired perfectly with the rich, flavorful broth and fresh vegetables. The Edo Unagi Roll was the standout dish of the evening—generously topped with perfectly grilled eel that was smoky, buttery, and melted in your mouth. The Soft Shell Crab Roll had a delicious crispy texture, while the Ebiko Roll was fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. Even the Garlic Fried Rice was fragrant and addictive, making it the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The restaurant is clean, the service is attentive, and the presentation of every dish is beautiful. While the prices are slightly higher than many other restaurants in Phuket, the premium ingredients, generous portions, and excellent quality make it well worth the cost. If you’re a fan of authentic Japanese cuisine or looking for a special dining experience in Phuket, Little Edo is a restaurant I would highly recommend and the prices are reasonable. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next visit to Phuket. Also, they provide Japanese traditional clothes in the restaurant to take pictures.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend as an expensive Japanese restaurant. I liked the interior overall including the Japanese garden however the plastic trees, especially the sakura did feel a bit kitsch. The shabu beef was good but the sushi rolls were too soft and too big for a single bite, very difficult to eat unless ones possesses a really big mouth. I would definitely prefer them smaller. The tuna part of the tartare was fantastic. The food was fresh and tasty overall. Unfortunately, the service failed to meet my expectations. None of the staff was able to communicate in English without Google Translate to answer my questions about food. In an expensive restaurant in a location with many foreign customers I would expect at least one member of staff to be able to speak at least English to an acceptable level. When ordering, I told the staff that I did not want to eat spicy food today. It was not communicated to other staff unfortunately, and another member of staff mixed ponzu and hot chilli sauce for me when helping me to make shabu (which I never know how to do properly). Not communicating customer preferences and ultimately not respecting them in my view does not match the expected level of an expensive restaurant. Most of the time I was the only customer at the restaurant and I saw at least 3 members of staff. However, I had to ask them twice to top up my shabu pot when it boiled away. Then I had to answer a phone call and could not keep track of the pot so the 3rd time the pot simply got burnt with smell and everything because no one cared to refill it without me asking. Actually, I had to tell the staff that the food was burning for them to take action. And again, at least 3 members of staff vs the only customer. The interaction with the staff was pleasant though and they did help me a lot to make shabu. In my opinion the problem was that they did not really have control over what was going on at the restaurant, simply reacting to requests rather than being proactive. I hope this can be improved. Overall, I am frankly disappointed, maybe because I expected too much for the price.

The restaurant truly stands out for its exceptionally fresh and high-quality ingredients. Every dish reflects careful selection and thoughtful preparation, allowing the natural flavors to shine through beautifully. What makes the experience even more memorable is the attentive and warm service. The staff are genuinely welcoming, detail-oriented, and always ready to accommodate guests with care and professionalism.

The best Japanese restaurant in Phuket!" If you're looking for authentic Japanese food in Phuket, this is the place. I keep coming back here and never think of going anywhere else. The taste is just like being in Japan—super fresh fish, and the uni and foie gras are top-notch with no fishy smell at all. Their authentic Japanese-style Sukiyaki with premium beef is a must-try. The seating is comfortable, and the staff are absolutely lovely.
