新鮮な食材を買って向かいのレストランに持ち込み、メニューを見ながら調理方法を決めてオーダーする仕組みです。 食材を見ながらおすすめの食べ方をスタッフが教えてくれたりします。 貝の刺身も新鮮でおいしかったです。ワサビと醤油もあり日本と同じ感覚で食べれます。 レストランにはグラム数と調理方法に応じた調理代を支払うのだと思いますが詳細はわかりません。 レンタカーで行きましたが、駐車場には注意が必要です。 通りは車二台がかろうじてすれ違える細さで、搬入業者やバイク屋台が頻繁に停車しますので動かなくなる事態が頻発します。車を停めるには、東側の空き地ではなく、西側入り口付近のくるっとUターンをするようなところに頭から斜めに駐車できるとこがあるので、そこをおすすめします。ただし台数があまりありません。
新鮮な海鮮類を値切りつつ買ったら。 道対面のレストランで調理して貰って食べる。 調理方法選べるし、モノによっては刺し身も可能。 、、、安くて美味です♪ 日本人少ないのか。 まずは中国語、次は韓国語、で話しかけられますが、がんばって英語でトークして値切りましょう。 各々の海鮮類の相場は値切ってる人の話を聞いてて覚えてから値切る目安にすると良いかもです。 帰りのタクシーが少なめなのでタクシーアプリ入れておかないと大変かもしれません。 次回も来たいです(^-^)
魚を選んで、お店で調理してもらう、日本円が安くなった今でも、日本よりリーズナブルでした。
とても面白い場所なんだけど99%くらい中国人相手な状態になっているので雰囲気的にも微妙でした。
魚介の種類は豊富です。価格は観光客向けなので、かなり吹っ掛けられて居ると思います。

Excellent dining experience at Rawai Seafood Market. We ate twice here as we really enjoyed the fresh seafood right by the sea. Can negotiate when buying the live seafood - we got extra items given to us for free after spending 1500 or 2000 baht. Then take it to restaurant of your liking to have the seafood cooked the way you like. Both times the seafood turned out great - very good experience. Is it a tourist trap perhaps but I enjoyed it a lot and definitely think it’s worth trying when in Phuket.
We visited twice. The first time we had lobster, crab, and fish; the second time we tried mantis shrimp, squid, and oysters. The oysters were especially good, served with seasonings and sauces we had never tried before. The restaurants usually recommend the best cooking style for each item, which is helpful. The staff may approach you, but they are not pushy, and we never felt pressured or scammed. The key is to stay calm, ask questions, and take your time to decide. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, which can feel a bit rushed at first, but everyone was friendly and genuinely helpful.
Got 5.7 kg of seafood for 1500 baht at 777 Seafood List: 9 small/medium mantis shrimp (live) 10 medium shrimp 2 crabs (live) 2 small lobsters (live) 1 razor clam 1 700g medium grouper (live) All for 1500 baht then another 570 processing fee at the local Michelin restaurant. You have to bargain a bit, but they are pretty nice and willing to throw deals for bigger orders. You can purchase a lobster at around market price and then ask for extra clams and shrimp. They dont budge too much on market price but are willing to give extra items.
Rawai Seafood Market is a great place for seafood lovers, filled with many seafood restaurants and fresh seafood stalls offering a wide variety of choices. You can pick your favorite seafood and enjoy it at one of the beachfront restaurants with a lovely seaside atmosphere. The prices are friendly and reasonable, making it a perfect spot to enjoy fresh local seafood by the ocean.
U can buy things at the seafood stalls and later cook at the nearby restaurants. Diverse choices of seafood at ok price (except the lobster). Restaurant will charge you ~100 thb/ kg of seafood for cooking fee
