Another World

Another world is a cant miss if you’re in Chiang Mai. It is a hidden gem tucked away which provides a peaceful atmosphere alongside live music acts. The food is delicious, we tried the Massaman curry and Khao Soi which were both amazing. The cocktails are great too and it is very well priced. There is also merch, stickers and jewellery available to buy. I highly recommend it here, the owners are very friendly and so are their staff.

Very nice and cozy place. Beautiful environment and a different experience. Just go try it. You won't regret. Good mood and fantastic live music. Food was excellent and cheap. Drinks too!

Another World was unreal… We had one of the best Khao Soi we’ve ever tasted, along with Massaman curry and the Northern Thai sausage, which were also amazing — everything was so rich and flavourful! We were super lucky to get in without waiting, as there isn’t too much seating. People chillin and playing cards/board games adds to this wait. The vibes are super chill though, very different from other restaurants in the area. Easily a 10/10. Would 100% come back and recommend!

Pork Panang Curry - asked for spicy. Best Panang curry I have ever had. Perfect spice level to make a little sweat but amazing flavor and perfectly cooked veggies. Mango smoothie was good. Wife got pineapple curry which was good but compared to Panang, not the same level. Vibes 100%. Live music. Sat on a couch. Took a poop. Walked around after. Our hotel is pretty nice too.

Incredible food and a truly magical atmosphere with live music. The staff speaks excellent English, and although we waited a few minutes for a table, it was absolutely worth it. Don’t miss the papadoms, and definitely try the Banana Tree Curry. The entire space is draped in fabrics and thoughtful décor that create a very cozy, intimate, almost secretive feeling. It’s quite dark inside, but not gloomy at all—on the contrary, it feels vibrant, warm, and alive. In another universe, it would probably be the perfect place for an LSD trip—but make no mistake, this is a highly professional restaurant with fantastic live music. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and we felt comfortable from the very first moment. Yes, there can be some crowding, but they have an excellent system that makes waiting effortless: you’re invited to enjoy a drink at the bar across the street and are personally picked up by the owner as soon as your table is ready. Even during peak time between 7 and 8 pm, we waited less than 20 minutes. An absolute highlight—full of soul, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.
