童話「不思議の国のアリス」にインスパイアされたファンタジックな雰囲気を持ち、独特のコンセプトのバー。 インテリアや装飾がファンタジーの要素に満ちていて内装は、童話の世界をイメージした奇抜でユニークなデザインが施されており、客がまるで物語の中にいるような気分になれます。小物や家具なども不思議の国のアリスをモチーフにしたものが多く、遊び心にあふれた空間です。 肝心のカクテルはフォトジェニックな見た目で期待はずれということはなくクオリティレベルが非常に高いです。 チェンマイでの二軒目はここで決まりです。 ただ人気店なので前もって予約は必須。
白ウサギを追いかけていくと、ワンダーランドが現れるという意味でしょうか。不思議の国のアリスがイメージされているのかな。 確かにこんなエリアに不似合いで、やや隠れ家的なバー。廃墟の様な階段を登ると、まさにワンダーランドが開ける。一人で行っても満席でしばらく待ったので、予約するか早めに行くのがオススメ。 バーテンダーの腕は確かで、カクテルはどれも秀逸。その週によってメニューを変えているらしいけれど、オリジナルのシグネチャーはポテンシャルの高さが伺える。レシピを見てワクワクしていると、それを更に上回る素晴らしいカクテルが提供させる。 チェンマイのバーも捨てたもんじゃない。バンコクにあったら、すぐにトップクラスに躍りでるぐらいのレヴェル。ここは行くべき。
場所は隠れ家的な感じて良かったけど、高かったです。

Difficult to locate. Hidden in a dark small lane. Got to climb the stair to the 3rd floor to reach the bar. Too much a hassle. Dark theme furnishing. Lighting was kind of dull. Slight eerie vibe. Background music played didn't provide the chill and relax ambience. Cocktails were nice. The hassle of looking for the bar didn't enhance the experience. The bar is a 3.3/5
I went to this speakeasy with a group of seven people and had a wonderful time. The menu is incredibly well-crafted and creative. The drinks were simply delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a night of good conversation. Please note that the restaurant is fairly nondescript and can be somewhat hard to find, as it is located in an alley. The drinks are on the more expensive side for Thailand, but still worth it.
Strictly a cocktail bar, the White Rabbit has a nice vibe and an interesting set-up as it's down a short alley and up a couple flights of stairs. There's a whimsical sense of mystery combined with delight once you enter the chill and well-appointed lounge. Staff is old-school polished and friendly without being obtrusive or snooty. Attired nicely with the manners of a Presbyterian minister, they provide excellent information on their creative concoctions. They are consummate professionals. I had an interesting variation on a Dirty Martini and followed it with an Illusion, a bourbon based drink that is a bit Manhattanesque. It won. They have great AC and play excellent music. It's relaxing. It's a top-flight bar anywhere. I've been in thousands of bars including some Esquire Top 50 spots. The White Rabbit is up with the top 20 or so in my estimation. You should go!
Great cocktails and great music in this nice speakeasy in Chiang Mai. The MR sunshine really impressed me with his flavour and complexity, really well done! Thanks to the amazing and smiling staff for the advices!
Feels like an escape room just trying to find the entrance—but that’s part of the fun. Once you’re in, it’s all good vibes, great drinks, and an awesome experience. 10/10 experience.
