I had a wonderful experience at Ibaki Japanese Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish tasted fresh and high quality. The seafood, especially the fish, was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm, relaxing, and beautifully designed, making it a perfect place to enjoy Japanese food with friends or family. What impressed me the most was the great value for the price. Considering the quality of the food and service, the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Japanese food, fresh ingredients, and a great dining experience. I will definitely come back again!

The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for coming with your partner, family, or friends. The staff were also very polite and attentive. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place takes pride in both quality and presentation. The sushi is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor—every roll tastes thoughtfully crafted, not rushed or generic. The menu offers a great balance of classic favorites and unique options, making it perfect whether you’re a sushi purist or someone who likes to try new combinations. The hot dishes are just as impressive, with rich flavors and generous portions. Service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which really elevates the entire dining experience. You never feel rushed, and the staff is happy to make recommendations if you’re unsure what to order. If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese food, excellent sushi, and a consistently great experience, Ibaki House is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place. Nice concept. A nice variety of dishes to choose from. Reminiscent of a fancy Japanese sushi and steakhouse. The vibe was nice except for the swarm of mosquitos that a waitstaff had to constantly zap every few seconds. I will be honest and say this: the pictures are misleading. Their menu shows full tenderloin steaks for 619 THB and strip steak for 589 THB. What we received was 5 pieces of steak that was already cut. Not a problem, we thought of it as our own misunderstanding. However the piece was not a true tenderloin. Tenderloins are naturally tender, hence the name, and succulent. I got medium and it was so tough to cut, one because i was given a butter knife, but the cut of steak itself was tough. It took about 1 minute to be able to fully chew a small piece. It was tough. You can see the grain of the cut and the sliver of tendon that runs through it in the picture. The shape of the steak is not really close to what tenderloins across the globe look like. My advice, ask questions before ordering. Also, be prepared to wait. Our entrees did not arrive at the same time. We got our sushi orders first. Followed by the appetizer. Then one of two steaks came first. The other person had to wait over 10 mins for theirs to arrive. Not sure how service is run but this area needs a lot of improvement. 158+ THB for 5 small pieces of sushi is a little overpriced for Chiang Mai. The flavor profile was great, but the fish pieces and everything was so tiny. It was about the size of a 10 baht coin. Something to note, a 10% service fee is automatically charged. Which I’m not sure if Over consensus: will not return, not for the price and quality of food we received.
