Madame Lee Lanna & Nanyang Gastrobar

Being a Singaporean, we had a wonderful dinner at Madam Lee Cuisine, serving both Thai and Singaporean dishes. The beef rendang was beautifully soft, rich, and flavorful. The Singapore Laksa was very enjoyable, though a slight adjustment with the addition of dried tiny shrimps and laksa leaves would make the flavor even more authentic and elevate the dish further. The spring rolls were small but wonderfully crispy and delicious. The Khao Soi was amazingly good — one of the highlights of the meal. The chicken wings were also crispy, tasty, and well-seasoned. The only thing lacking was they do not have a dessert menu and smoothie beverages, which would have completed the dining experience perfectly and rounded off the meal for the night. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience with flavorful dishes and enjoyable comfort food. I am looking forward to try the Singapore Nasi Lemak (Coconut rice with fried chicken, crispy tiny fish, egg, with delicious chilli) and other local dishes too.

Madam Lee is a fantastic spot in Chiang Mai for Singaporean and Thai food. The food is flavorful, comforting, and perfect for sharing so you can try a few dishes. My favorites are the sweet and sour pork with white rice, the pork belly, and the Duck Khao Soi. The Duck Khao Soi is honestly the star. Khao Soi is already special to Northern Thailand, but Madam Lee takes it to another level with the duck. I’d recommend everyone order their own because once you taste it, you won’t want to share. 🍜 The cocktails are great too, especially the Madam Lee, and the staff is warm and attentive. If you get a chance to chat with David or Mr. Lee, they really know the food and can give you the story behind the flavors. 10/10 recommend. Come hungry, order a few dishes, and take leftovers home. 🍽️

Where culinary excellence meets an unforgettable atmosphere. We really enjoy the Incredible food and craft mocktails. The mocktails and cocktails just taste so refreshing and not “chemically mix”. Really like the details that the chef has tried to put into taste and presentation of every dish. The beef rendang served was better than what I ever tasted in Singapore..

The ambience here is immaculate — dim lights, classy interior and such a cozy yet luxurious vibe. The drinks were beautifully crafted and tasted even better than they looked. Every sip was smooth, fragrant and well-balanced. Perfect spot for a date night, catch-up session or simply winding down after a long day. Service was warm and attentive too. Will definitely be back again 🤍

Delicious food and warm, friendly staff. We tried the restaurant’s take on khao soi with crispy duck confit, which was beautifully balanced and full of flavour. Our son has several allergies, and after informing the restaurant in advance, they thoughtfully prepared suitable options for him. The level of care and attention was much appreciated. I would highly recommend a visit when in Chiang Mai.
