They say that Thailand is a land of extremes. This morning I went from having the worst coffee of the year to having the best all in the space of only two hours. The hotel coffee machine went on the blink and served up a steaming cup of turpid brown swamp water of it's own volition...or Skynet worked out that without drinkable coffee yah boy is off the board. Gone 😵 Fortunately for me ma lune is just around the corner from where I'm staying and the charming host not only made me the perfect coffee but saved the day too as without good morning coffee my life just isn't the same 🙂 Many thanks 🙏

Great coffee, made with clear passion and enthusiasm by the owner. Getting to taste such nice examples of Thai specialty-grade coffees is amazing. This is clearly a place operated by someone who truly loves coffee. The DF60 grinder, with an 1zpresso handgrinder sitting next to it, a pair of fellow stagg kettles, and some fresh brew dripping from the v60 - behind the counter is someone who wants nothing more than to share the coffee they've roasted and offer the absolute best way of experiencing it. Their tasting notes are right on the mark, too, which speaks to the experience and palate of the owner. Every specialty coffee lover passing through Chiang Mai should go and experience this.

Ma Lune has many different local beans, most of them roasted right there in the store, all of them unique and delicious. They do great pour-overs and cold brew. I highly recommend!

Vibe is comfy and adorable, service is great and staff greeted us welcomely with a smile. Matcha was perfect and ginger lemon drink was refreshing. Would definitely recommend this peaceful relaxing cafe
