Kuang Seafood on Ratchadapisek Road is a well-known seafood restaurant among both locals and tourists. This is usually my go-to place for dinner whenever I arrive in Bangkok at night because they stay open until 1am. That's a huge advantage, especially after a late flight. I've been here more than 10 times over the years. To be honest, the main reason is the opening hours. Otherwise, Somboon Seafood, which is only about 100 metres away, would still be my first choice. The seafood here is good and fresh, but for me it's missing that "wow" factor that makes you want to come back just for the food. It's satisfying, but nothing really stands out. What really impressed me is the service. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and always make you feel welcome. In fact, I would say the customer service here is even better than Somboon. So if you're looking for a good seafood restaurant that opens late, Kuang Seafood is definitely a solid choice. Great service, decent food, and perfect when those late-night seafood cravings hit. 🦀🦐

I recently visited Kuang Seafood and honestly it exceeded my expectations. We went as a group so we got to try quite a wide variety of dishes, and everything came out consistently good. The standout for me was definitely the pineapple fried rice. It was fragrant, nicely balanced between sweet and savoury, and not greasy at all. You can tell they didn’t just throw it together, the flavours were well thought out and it paired really well with the other dishes. We also had the creamy butter crab which was rich and flavourful, with fresh and meaty crab. The salted egg squid was another highlight, crispy on the outside and coated evenly with that addictive salted egg sauce. The black pepper beef had a nice kick and was very tender, while the vegetables like the kailan with oyster sauce helped balance out the heavier dishes. The glass noodle salad was refreshing and slightly tangy, which made it a great contrast to the richer seafood dishes. Even the omelette was done well, fluffy and packed with ingredients. Drinks were simple, we had watermelon juice and coconut, both very fresh and not overly sweet. Service was fast despite the place being quite busy, and the atmosphere is lively and very local. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but that’s part of the charm. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Overall, a very satisfying meal and definitely worth coming back for. Great spot if you’re in Bangkok and craving good seafood with friends or family.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kuang Seafood and it was an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is clean and inviting atmosphere making it a comfortable spot for a meal. The prices are reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food served. We indulged in a delightful spread that included Yam Phra Fu, fish maw, crab omelette, and stir fried watercress. Each dish was delicious, fresh ingredients and good preparation. The fish maw delicately cooked and the crab omelette rich with generous crab meat. The stir-fried watercress added crisp to our meal. Overall, Kuang Seafood impressed with its delicious offerings clean ambiance and fair pricing. A definite recommendation for seafood lovers looking for a satisfying dining experience.

The food here was amazing!! We had different dishes and they were all really good. I recommend the crab curry and friend rice 🌸 If you ask for ice, they charge you extra for it. They have seating upstairs and downstairs. You can sit at a normal table or they have round tables for lazy Suzy style. It can get very loud but it is family friendly.

Over-priced, average quality, and serving tourist groups instead of locals. The nine of us ate one suckling pig, 1kg of prawns, steam fish, and many other dishes, ended the meal with two plates of mango sticky rice. Ordered drinks including water melon juice and fresh coconut. Total cost 7,750 baht. Best fish was fried cabbage. The mango sticky rice was pretty decent, as was the tom yum Koong.
