Olive Kitchen - Khaosan

This was our first time having dinner at this restaurant, and we were very impressed. The food was delicious, every dish we ordered was well-seasoned. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality. There was also a wide variety of menu options to choose from. We will definitely be coming back. The staff provided good service and were attentive throughout our meal. The only downside is that there is no parking available in front of the restaurant.

Bangkok’s backpacker area isn’t exactly where you’d expect to find a high-end wood-fired pizza and craft beer spot, but if you feel like a bit of a splurge, you could do a lot worse than Olive. The pizzas here are among the best in town. Napoli-style with a thick crust, properly baked, and topped with high-quality ingredients. There’s a mix of classic Italian options as well as some Thai-influenced toppings. They also have a good selection of Thai craft beers, including a very good Weizen. There are plenty of cheaper places to eat nearby, but this one is definitely worth a visit.

Very satisfied here. Pricey but Food is delicious, we ordered a pasta and sandwiches and everything was good. Try the Thai Milk tea here! It’s thick but not too much, the milk compliments well with the Thai tea used and the staff are nice.

I visited Oli’s Kitchen specifically for their English Breakfast, but ended up trying the Chorizo, Bacon, Egg, and Avocado pan. The food was decent, it hit the spot since I was hungry, but it didn't quite "wow" me. Interestingly, the English Breakfast didn't look as appetizing in person as I expected, so I skipped it. The coffee was good, but I was very disappointed that they do not offer any sugar free sweeteners, only regular sugar. For a specialty cafe, I expected more options for those who don't consume sugar. The location is in a very cool, "bohemian" strip across the river from IconSiam. It feels like a vacation spot with a lot of bars and a spiritual, artsy vibe. The restaurant itself is spacious and spans multiple floors, including a second, floor bakery with fresh sourdough and cakes. Things to note: Getting there: If you are near IconSiam, it’s actually quite a trek. It took about 30 minutes by car/Grab. Public transport requires multiple transfers (trains and buses), so a taxi is easier but can be slow due to traffic. Atmosphere: It’s a beautiful, open space, but it can get very hot inside as it’s quite open-air. Price: A bit on the expensive side, likely due to the touristic nature of the area. Overall, the service was fine and the aesthetics are great, but I’m neutral on the food. I wouldn't necessarily rush back, but it's a nice spot if you're already in the area for the vibe. Fact Check & Clarifications • Location: Oli’s Kitchen is located in the Klong San area. "across the river" from the main city side, but because of the way the bridges work, a car has to drive quite a distance to cross over, which explains your 30-minute Uber ride! • Transportation: For future reference, there is a public cross river ferry near IconSiam (at the Si Phraya or Wat Suan Phlu piers) that costs only a few baht and takes 5 minutes to cross the river, which might have saved you that long drive! • The "Hippie" Vibe: That specific area near The Jam Factory and the creative districts has a very distinct artsy/bohemian reputation in Bangkok.

This is a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of international cuisines in Bangkok. The truffle mushroom soup and Caesar salad were especially outstanding. The other appetizers were also very delicious, and I particularly loved the mozzarella, basil, and tomato salad. For those who are sensitive to palm oil, I believe this is one of the best restaurants to visit in Bangkok. The service was just as impressive as the food quality. All of the staff were exceptionally attentive, caring, and friendly. They truly make you feel valued as a guest. I was extremely satisfied with both the food and the service, and I would highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
