I arrived during flowering season, and the ground was blanketed in a soft layer of delicate petals. Here, the garden and the plants are the main attraction. The indoor café itself is minimal—a small ordering counter with just a couple of seats. Everything worth seeing is outside. At the center of the garden, you’ll find cherry blossom decorations and touches of a Japanese-style courtyard, with a Totoro figure placed on the steps to greet visitors. I ordered an orange marmalade coffee, a matcha latte, and a Japanese-style dessert. They were probably pre-made, but in a setting like this, the taste almost feels beside the point. Over the few hours I spent there, a steady stream of small wildlife passed through: a magpie repeatedly swooping in to steal fries from the café’s kitchen, a squirrel darting along the branches, and a small lizard slowly making its way across the yard. I would recommend this calm cafe nestled in nature. When I went, for some reason there were lots of police officers, army officers, and pilots in uniform. There were few mosquitoes, so I didn't get bitten by any insects, and there were fans everywhere so it was nice and cool. The sweets were delicious too.
