I finally found my Irish Bar I’ve been looking for after a year in Taipei. Speakeasy Irish Bar what I really love is all the seats at the bar, which is hard to find in Taipei. Easy walk from Taipei 101 or Taipei Dome. Only 2 Beers on tap Guinness and Asahi, but dozens of beer selections including IPAs that I haven’t had! They open at 1900 and close late!
Great little nook in Da’an to drink your fill and then some. Very impressed with how well the front doors keep the merrymaking inside with absolutely no leakage when you’re smoking a nice little mevius outside before you dart inside to drown yourself in 15 more pints of the dark stuff. Free snacks, clean shitter and a nice book collection to choose from - you’ve got everything you need to be your own little Oscar Wilde.
The best place to get a Guinness in Taipei and possible all of Taiwan. This is about as Irish of a spot you will find, and it is a great place to hang out, with friendly neighborhood regulars and a fun bar staff. One of my favorite bars to spend an evening at!
I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped in. The waiters are super friendly, they actually engage with their clients. Even though I went there alone, it took me two minutes to have a conversation with other clients at the bar thanks to the fact that the waiter was talking to everybody. They also know how to serve a Guinness, and that's no joke.
