THE BACKGROUND: - Located behind a building, so it can be a little tricky to find the first time. THE GOOD: - Service is efficient and fast. - The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating, so turnover is pretty quick. THE BAD: - It can get a little smoky inside, so don't be surprised if you leave smelling like grilled beef. - Relatively expensive for what you get. THE ORDER: 1. Ikura (Salmon Roe) Steak Buridon ($360) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Basically a Beef Steak Buridon topped with ikura. Very filling, satisfying, and the salty bursts from the salmon roe work surprisingly well with the beef. 2. Beef Steak Buridon ($285) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Delicious. Slightly chewy, but grilled beautifully to medium rare. Very satisfying bites. 3. Ox-Tongue with Salt and Spring Onion Buridon ($339) + Meat and Egg Yolk ($150) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Very delicious, although a little chewy. Goes very, very, very, VERY well with the rice. 4. Fried Filet Steak Buridon ($285) ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ - My least favorite dish of the meal. The breading was a little too thick and took away from the steak itself. 5. Oxtail Soup ($99) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Great way to start the meal. Not overly salty or sweet, just rich, meaty, and comforting. 6. Sweet Fermented Fried Cheese ($89) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Creamy, cheesy, and dangerously hot when it arrives. A nice way to end the meal. TL;DR: - If you like beef and rice bowls, it's hard to go wrong here. The steak is cooked well, portions are satisfying, and almost everything we ordered was good. The Ox-Tongue Buridon and Ikura Steak Buridon were my favorites, while the Fried Filet Steak Buridon was the only dish I probably wouldn't reorder. Just be prepared to smell like grilled beef when you leave.

Ok so boom. Here we are. Sitting down. No wait. They serve some nice little welcoming drink and snack. And then averil Levine complicated comes on. Vibes. And then we order our food off the QR code. Not a big fan of QR codes. But the food was proper. The meat lava thing was pure buss down. The ox tongue is everything u could wish eating tongue would be. The fried cheese with honey is oddly satisfying. But if u get the ox tongue. Pair it with the fried cheese. Nice lil combo. The staff is friendly and chill. English friendly. And one of the chefs sings very well. Will for sure come back. Ucit.

We arrived around 8pm on a Friday evening. The place was busy. Luckily we did not have to wait long to be seated. The Japanese styled restaurant serves mostly rice bowl(丼)with a focus on beef dishes. Deep fried side dishes are also available. Food is delicious and substantial. Price is surprisingly affordable. Drink menu is simple with a few beers and umeshu choices. The only complaint was that our order took a long time, 30 minutes to be precise. I cannot imagine combing here solo and having to wait half an hour for food by myself.

The beef soup is super delicious 😋. I think I should have ordered something like beef donburi instead of yakiniku donburi "霸王燒肉丼" since the latter's flavor is not very distinctive. However, the portion is enough for me. The taste of raindrop cake's (水信玄餅) sauce is also a bit of weird.

Came here for the first time today. It’s cool to see them doing everything by the bar - from ingredient preparations, cutting meats, to cooking. We had the oxtail soup, the volcano protein don, and the fried steak fillet buridon. I personally think that there are lots of other great places for the first two, but the fried steak fillet here was good! Excited to come back to try their other things like the steak buridon with fish roe and egg 黒門市場丼, the ox tongue buridon 鹽蔥牛舌丼, as well as, their fried food, sides, and plum wine. Looking forward!!! We just walked over, so we didn’t really have to go out of our way and it was convenient. It’s a bit sinful, but all of the rice bowls were nice “comfort food” to have. If you’re around the area, it’s a good place for a good meal.
